Terrible experience here for several reasons. First is that they are always in the sell and upsell mode instead of just doing the job they are paid to do. According to them, I needed a "plan" to address my issues. That was going to cost $5000+ in addition to my dental insurance. My teeth are beautiful, I have no issues and have gone to a dentist every 6 months my entire life. I have gotten compliments my whole life on my smile. Ok, so then I went to another dentist they had me so worried. Care to guess what the new dentist said? "You are in great shape with a nice healthy mouth and you don't need anything done except for your normal cleaning". Guess what else My Port Orange Dentist did? Turned us over to a collection agency for $107 when we have the cancelled check a nd invoice in our hands!! That is now on our credit report and when we called them to have it fixed since they caused the problem guess what they said. "You call the collection company and tell t hem you paid it." Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. No wonder the waiting room was always empty. Bad news. UPDATE: Do yourself a favor and stay away. That erroneous $107 is STILL ON OUR CREDIT REPORT TWO YEARS LATER EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE THE INVOICE AND OUR CANCELED CHECK:-(
Excellent service for years. I've been seeing Dr P since 2008 and have never had any issues. Staff is always friendly and assists with insurance billing issues.
Today, I got my first filing ever from Dr. P and it was as enjoyable an experience as I imagine getting a filling can be. He was friendly, courteous, and answered all of my questions, like the rest of his staff does. He even showed me before and after pictures of the tooth and gave me a mini anatomy lesson about how enamel looks and cavities are formed. Their services are a little pricey, but dental insurance makes this place an amazing value. I intend to continue getting my dental care from this location as long as I live in the area.
Dental services were professional; however, the office has a ridiculous "policy" that each year all patients are "required" to completely hand write ALL previous registration, health and related information, regardless if there were no change in status. This policy applies to the 2 page registration form. When asked if a print out of existing information could be done so that only changes could be noted, dated and signed, the staff responded by adamantly by stating "OUR POLICY is that ALL registration information MUST be hand written yearly". In an age of Electronic Dental Records and attention to Customer Relations, this office falls short of being reasonable, practical and using common sense. Verification of updated information is understood, but not office policies that detract from the dental services.
